The IRC helps people reconnect
This is a safe place to rest, take care of basic needs and access the services and community that make all the difference. Our guests come to the IRC to take a class, do laundry, meet with a case manager or to get their mail. Sometimes they just need to sit in our dayroom and enjoy a conversation. Here you will find everything from shower facilities to a mail room, classrooms and meeting spaces. The IRC helps people reconnect with their own lives and with the community at large.
A network of services under one roof
A caring community setting
One of the most exciting aspects of the IRC is that so many individuals and organizations in the community are a part of the everyday experience. Whether it’s a hair stylist or law firm offering services right in-house, our partners make the IRC a truly interactive resource center where services are brought to our guests. The IRC brings together a comprehensive community of talented people who not only want to help solve problems, but also to be a part of our guests’ lives.
We offer services in two key areas
Integrated Care
We take a person-centered approach to assistance that includes:
- Case management
- PATH Street Outreach
- Medical clinic
- Mental health nurse
- Referrals
Fundamental Services
We start with necessities:
- Showers and hygiene supplies
- Laundry
- Phone access
- Mailing addresses and mailboxes
- Replacement IDs
- Onsite barbershop
- Storage lockers
- White Flag winter warming center
Support the IRC
Much of the IRC’s funding comes from donors like you! While the IRC receives grant funding through foundations, churches, organizations and through the city, state and federal government, individual donations represent the heart of the community. If you, too, believe that homelessness is an experience and not a person, join the Interactive Resource Center in changing that experience for good. A gift to the IRC is a gift of hope for our most overlooked neighbors, especially when they need it most.
