When you volunteer here, the life you change just might be your own.
The Interactive Resource Center is a place where people, stories and lives converge. Volunteering at the IRC changes lives — the lives of our guests and of our volunteers. What makes your volunteer time here unique is the way that our guests and community members work side by side to brainstorm projects, complete tasks that are critical to our day-to-day functions and build the relationships that are vital to a strong community.

Tell us how you want to be a part of our community.
We don’t want you to come here once or twice and check a box. We want you to become a part of our community by plugging into the aspects of the IRC experience that are most compelling to you. In many ways, we see ourselves as an incubator for community-based problem solving. Some pretty amazing initiatives were born here — Tiny Houses Greensboro and The Greensboro Voice Newspaper to name a few. So bring your energy and your ideas and let’s work on ending homelessness together in a creative, collaborative way.
